The gameplay for Wheel of Fortune Ultra 5 Reels starts off in a seemingly simplistic manner, albeit with the 3D reels catching your eye when you set the reels spinning.
Once you have set your coin size, click the button and the reels will start to spin. These are nicely animated, and the cheery jazz soundtrack will have you fully engrossed in the game.
The low-value symbols on the reels are the four fruits:
- Cherry
- Orange
- Pear
- Blackberry
The higher-value symbols are the five different colored lucky 7 symbols:
- Green
- Purple
- White
- Blue
- Red (highest value of the group)
One nice touch is that any combination of 7 symbols, regardless of their color, will offer a payout. However, if you match 7s of the same color, then the value of that payout increases markedly.
Land a mix of five 7s and you win 75 coins; land five red 7s and you win 400 coins.
It’s a tad disappointing that 400 coins is the biggest possible base game win. Jackpot hunters aren’t likely to see too much in this slot, although much bigger wins are possible in the bonus games.
The stacked wild symbol can replace any of the high- or low-value symbols to create a winning payline. This comes with a randomly selected multiplier of between 2x and 5x the amount won.
There is a second wild symbol on the reels that is not stacked — the Wheel of Fortune 5x symbol. This is not just a wild, but also awards a 5x multiplier when used on any payline. It can really ramp up the value of those wins.
The real excitement in this slot comes from the two bonus features.
The first is the Scatter Wheels feature, which is triggered when you land three or more of these scatter symbols on the reel. When this happens, each of the Scatter Wheels become active and spins, each revealing a cash sum that is added to the sums on the other spinning wheels to give you a cash prize.
The second and best feature is the Ultra Wheel Bonus, which is almost like a completely different game.
When you land three or more on reels two, three, or four of this scatter, you are taken to a new screen where you must spin the bonus reels to determine which of the three reels will be active in the bonus round, and whether it has a multiplier attached.
Once that spin has decided which reel is active, you then get to spin the active reels.
- Wheel One has a multiplier value of 300x to 1000x your bet.
- Wheel Two has 150x to 2,500x your bet.
- Wheel Three is 100x to 500x your bet.
Obviously, you want to have all wheels active, but Wheel One is the least likely to be active due to its higher multiplier values.
You then spin the active reel, which will reveal a cash prize. If the reel has a multiplier, you additionally spin the multiplier reel that decides the size of the multiplier.
Finally, the total sum you have earned from the three reels is calculated and the cash is paid to you.

Ultra Wheel bonus
This is possibly one of the most engaging (and longest!) bonus rounds you will play on a slot. Spin consecutive reels to decide what wheels are active, the size of your win, and any multiplier to be applied to win the final amount.

Scatter Wheel bonus
Land three or more of the scatter wheel bonus symbols across the reels and you trigger the Scatter Wheel bonuses. These wheels become active and spin, revealing a cash amount.

In addition to the stacked wild symbol, which has a random 2x to 5x multiplier attached, there is also a 5x multiplier attached to a single Wheel of Fortune wild.
This automatically awards 5x the usual payout for any win of which it’s a part on a payline. Both these symbols can produce some big multiple payline wins in the base game.

The presentation on this game is outstanding. The 3D reels work particularly well.

Small base game wins
If you are hoping your smaller base game wins will keep your account topped up, they won’t. The base game wins in this game for three symbols, and even four symbols, are generally small.
Good bankroll management is essential.
20-coin premium for features
I’m not a fan on slots putting a premium on playing features. I think an extra 20 coins for the bonus games on the slot is very expensive and makes the base game particularly poor value.
Very volatile bonus payouts
The bonus payouts in this game can vary significantly. Of course, that is great when you win big, but it can be frustrating to trigger a bonus game and end up with just 3x your total bet size as a return, especially if you have been losing money on spins.
