Bally Casino Joins NJ Online Gambling Market With Late January Launch

Bally Casino is now live in New Jersey, adding another option to the rapidly growing online gambling market.

Operating under Bally’s Atlantic City casino license, the new online casino features slots, blackjack, roulette and video poker. There are now two online casinos operating under Bally’s Atlantic City license.

Parent company Bally’s Corporation sent out a press release on Monday announcing the arrival.

Android and iOS users can download the Bally Casino app. A website version is also available.

The new online gambling software was created by Gamesys, a U.K.-based digital gaming operator. Bally’s Corporation and Gamesys completed a $2.7 billion merger in October 2021.

What we know about Bally Casino so far

When users open the Bally Casino app, the words “JUMP INTO THE THRILL!” appear above the games library. What players will find is a variety of popular slot titles. The list includes:

• Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin
• Cleopatra
• Secret of Phoenix
• Tiki I
• Monopoly Rising Riches 

There are other variations of Monopoly as well.

The table games menu might not have the live dealer option (yet), but there are plenty of other choices:

• Craps 
• Baccarat 
• Blackjack 
• American Roulette 
• French Roulette 

And like other NJ online casino apps, gamblers can expect to see the library expand over time.

Bally Casino is the second online skin under the Bally’s Atlantic City casino license.

PointsBet Casino went live in July. Earlier this year, PointsBet Casino added online dealer games to their digital library.

The PointsBet Sportsbook app, which is separate from the online casino, launched in 2019. It operates under the Meadowlands Racetrack license along with FanDuel Sportsbook and SuperBook. Garden State racetracks are only permitted to partner with sportsbook operators.

New Jersey gambling regulations require online casinos to partner with an Atlantic City casino.

In 2021, online gambling in NJ generated over $1.33 billion in revenue.

What’s next for Bally’s and online gaming?

The launch of Bally Casino leaves Bally’s Atlantic City with three available online skins.

The Boardwalk casino was purchased for $25 million by Twin River Worldwide Holdings in 2020. Twin River later bought the Bally’s name and rebranded as Bally’s Corporation.

In the last 18 months, Bally’s Corporation has bought several land-based casino properties, digital platforms and media companies.
The Atlantic City casino remains a critical component of Bally’s overall strategy.

“(Bally’s Atlantic City) is extremely important,” said Phil Juliano, executive vice president of casino operations & chief marketing officer for Bally’s Corp., during an exclusive interview with Play NJ in 2021. “It brought us into the interactive space in New Jersey, which is blossoming at record levels…and that was an important part of this acquisition.”
