Harrah's AC

Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City will be sporting an upgraded look by the time Memorial Day weekend arrives. More specifically, the Marina District property will introduce a brand-new spa and four new dining, nightlife and entertainment concepts.

But there’s more.

Earlier this week, parent company Caesars Entertainment sent out a press release announcing upgrades to guestrooms and suites in Harrah’s Atrium Tower. These plans are part of the $400-million master plan for the Atlantic City market.

The first phase of the Atrium Tower project will be completed by summer 2021, according to the press release.

However, the earlier announcement also teased “new hospitality, entertainment, and culinary offerings.” Sure enough, some of those details are now public.

Gregg Klein, senior vice president and general manager for Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, said “… we are continuing to evolve and introduce brand-new amenities and first-to-market experiences here in Atlantic City.”

“Building on our recently-announced room enhancements to our Atrium hotel tower, these five new concepts will further position our resort as the ultimate summer destination with something for everyone under one roof,” said Klein.

What we know about new Harrah’s AC offerings

The Lobby Bar will offer “an expanded and upgraded bar experience.” It’s targeted for a May 2021 debut. Harrah’s customers can expect “top-shelf selections, craft cocktails, and over 70 variations of whiskey and spirits.”

Then there is the Rum Point Crab House, which will be opening in early May. It will overlook The Baywalk at Harrah’s Resort with stunning sunset and bay views. More importantly, guests will be introduced to a fresh and delicious crab and seafood concept featuring a raw bar. Cape May salts, Barnegat Bay clams, and king crabs are just a few of the items that will be available.

For those who prefer an outdoor option, the Baywalk at Harrah’s Resort is opening in late May. Besides live music, guests will be able to enjoy selections from the  Rum Point Crab House’s raw bar and drinks along the water. Word is one of the “signature bites” will be the Baywalk burger, featuring aged Angus beef paired with white cheddar and served with freshly prepared chips.

And as an added bonus, there will be games and interactive activities outside including live music throughout the week.

Then there is the new dining and nightlife experience coming to The Pool at Harrah’s. It’s slated to open by Memorial Day weekend. The food and drink presentations will include performance artists, violinists, aerialists, musicians, and a DJ.

The Spa at Harrah’s Resort

The new Spa at Harrah’s Resort is located footsteps away from the pool. So guests can start counting down to next month’s big reveal.

The sprawling new “peaceful oasis” will feature 23 treatment rooms, including a deluxe couple suites with an in-room Jacuzzi and fireplace.

Other enticements:

    • Customized spa and salon services
    • Flat-screen TVs at manicure stations and pedicure chairs
    • Jacuzzi pool surrounding a fireplace

Caesars Entertainment making a significant investment in AC

This week’s big announcements from Caesars Entertainment should not come as a surprise. The capital expenditure plan released Wednesday expands on testimony company executives gave to New Jersey gambling regulators last year before being approved to operate Caesars, Harrah’s Resort, and Tropicana.

Bally’s AC was initially part of the Caesars-Eldorado merger as the sale to Twin River Worldwide Holdings (now Bally’s Corp.) was still pending. The new owner is busy making upgrades.

But as far as Caesars properties go, there are three main focus points that are part of the master plan:

      • Remodeled room towers
      • Enhancements to the casinos’ gaming floors
      • New restaurants and amenities

The entire $400 million investment is expected to be completed by 2023.
