New York Giants Odds

The New York Football Giants date back to 1925 when Tim Mara purchased the franchise. Back then, the team called New York City home, more specifically the Polo Grounds. They relocated to the Garden State in 1976, playing home games in East Rutherford.

Fast forward to current times, and a new era is officially underway. Eli Manning is now retired, and in the process, the torch has been passed to Daniel Jones. Along with All-Pro running back Saquon Barkley, the franchise has two key offensive pieces to build around.

Or do they? The G-Men finished the 2022 season third in the NFC East with a 9-7-1 record under first year head coach Brian Daboll, who previously served as offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. The Giants made the NFL Playoffs as a Wild Card team but ended up losing to the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round.

The Giants have a storied NFL history that includes four Super Bowl championships. Consider this your guide to the best ways to place your bets on the next Giants football game including live odds on this week's game.

All season long, each Giants game will attract a ton of betting action. A good deal of the attention will be spread across a trio of main pregame bets: moneyline, spread, and totals. An average game listing at online sportsbooks will look something like this.

  • Washington Commanders +135 +3 (-110) O 46.5 (-110)
  • New York Giants -155 -3 (-110) U 46.5 (-110)

When reading the lines, make note of the direction of the numbers on the moneyline and spread: negative for favorites and positive for underdogs. Spreads and totals will have the number listed by the sportsbook in addition to the odds for the bet. Here’s what else you need to know.

Giants Moneyline

Which side will win is all you need to figure out to bet on the moneyline. Of course, consistently picking winners is easier said than done. Here's a look at some example odds:

  • Washington Commanders +135
  • New York Giants -155

You can tell how close of a matchup the oddsmakers are expecting by noting the range in the odds. A big span points to a mismatch, while a close range suggests a tight affair.

Giants Point Spread

Spread betting is a little more complex. Oddsmakers install a number on each game which represents an estimated margin of victory. Bettors get to take or give the points.

  • Washington Commanders +3 (-110)
  • New York Giants -3 (-110)

For our example, the book sees the Giants as a field goal favorite. If they win by three points or more, they cover. Washington covers with a loss of two points or less or an upset win.

Giants Over/Under

Over/Under betting lets you focus on something besides winners and spreads. It’s all about how many combined points will be scored in the game when all is said and done.

  • Over 46.5 (-110)
  • Under 46.5 (-110)

There’s a benchmark total placed on each game by oddsmakers, as well as the odds for both choices. Bettors then decide if they expect the total points to be Over or Under that amount.

How to Bet on Player Props and Futures Odds

NFL betting is about much more than whether or not the New York Giants will cover the point spread. Wagering on player props and futures adds another wrinkle to the NJ sports betting experience.

And the options expand far beyond which team will win the next Super Bowl. This is considered a futures bet. The wager is linked to the outcome of a sporting event that has yet to take place. Here are a few other examples of NFL futures:

  • NFC East winner
  • NFC champion
  • Division finishing position

You can also bet on which conference will secure the Super Bowl title (AFC or NFC), which teams will face each other in the Big Game, and total wins for the Giants. At DraftKings Sportsbook, the 2021 win total for the Giants is set at 7, but keep in mind that there are now 17 games in a season.

Bettors can put money down on how one of the Giants will perform in a game or during the season. These wagers fall under the player props category. And they are often posed as a question. Simply sign in to your NJ sportsbook app of choice, and the NFL menu will include a page of options, from team futures to player futures and props and beyond.

Here are a few examples:

  • NFL regular-season MVP
  • Daniel Jones regular-season passing yards
  • Saquon Barkley total yards (rushing and receiving)

Giants’ quarterbacks over the last 20 years

This list is an extremely short one thanks to the longevity and success of Manning. The New York Giants made a 2004 draft-day trade with the San Diego Chargers, and the rest is history. Manning claimed the role as a rookie and didn't let go until it was time to call it a career.
