Live dealer craps launch is ‘landmark moment’ for Evolution
Some NJ online casinos use themed live dealer studios. However, Evolution sent out a press release earlier this year regarding its newest craps game. Basically, the classic dice game is set in a speakeasy-style studio. Evolution took the approach of making the game easier to understand and play for experienced players and newcomers.
There is even an ‘easy mode’ featuring a simple online interactive tutorial that explains the game. Live dealer craps might be new in North America but the game actually debuted in Europe two years ago.
Jeff Millar, commercial director, North America at Evolution explained last spring why the launch is a big deal.
“This game was the very first online Live Craps game in the industry, and it was a landmark moment for Evolution,” Millar said.
“The game itself is going to thrill craps enthusiasts throughout the US and is sure to attract some new fans. The game captures all the excitement of a traditional craps table, and the decadence of the speakeasy era, and brings it to the online casino world in style. We can’t wait to see what players think of it and look forward to launching this game into more states in the future.”

Taking a closer look at live dealer craps
Call this the virtual version of the popular fast-paced game. Live in AC, the goal is to predict the outcome before the roll of the dice. The first roll sets the point as long as the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. Craps also offers a number of side bets. The live version also gives players several one roll bet options including:
- Field: Next roll will be a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12
- Craps: Next roll will be 2, 3 or 12 and pays 7:1
- 11: Pays 15:1
And once the point is established, pass line bets get paid out once the point is rolled again (unless a 7 is rolled first). Like at a land-based casino, players have the option of taking odds behind the pass line wager. With the live dealer version, a circular bet spot will appear next to the player’s pass line bet.
