BetMGM NJ Poker State Championship Includes 26 Events, Nearly $800,000 In Guarantees
BetMGM just announced their biggest online series to date. The BetMGM Poker Championships will offer more than $2 million in guarantees across the legal states.
In New Jersey the series will run 26 events from Sept. 15-25. Besides New Jersey ($795,000 prize pool), it will also be offered in Pennsylvania ($540,000 in guarantees) and Michigan ($680,000 guaranteed). Between the three states BetMGM is offering a prize pool exceeding $2 million, making it the largest series in BetMGM Poker history.
Each month BetMGM has run a different NJ online poker series, including a satellite live event that took place earlier in the year in Las Vegas. It included two New Jersey players advancing to the final table.
“This has been a transformational year for BetMGM Poker,” BetMGM director of poker Luke Staudenmaier said in a news release. “Following a groundbreaking live event at Aria in June, the State Championships is the largest online series in BetMGM poker history. The momentum that we’ve experienced in the past three months has inspired us to push for new heights.”
