WSOP.com NJ August Online Circuit Series Begins Aug. 12, $1 Million Prize Pool
New Jersey online poker players will have two major series available this month. WSOP.com NJ has started a new season of their online circuit series. The site will also host online championship tournaments
The World Series of Poker’s online circuit event runs Aug. 12-23. WSOP.com offers 12 championship ring events and $1 million in guaranteed prize pools.
WSOP.com Main Event includes $200,000 guarantee
Players love collecting WSOP.com NJ rings. For some it’s a bragging right or shows exclusiveness among the poker community. The August online circuit series offers 12 chances to grab a championship ring. The $525 Main Event on Aug. 21 features a $200,000 guarantee for players in the New Jersey and Nevada markets. Currently these are the only two markets that share a player pool for circuit tournaments.
Michigan and Pennsylvania run separate events.
Most events feature No Limit Hold’em with an Omaha as the exception. Other highlights include:
- $215 Monster Stack (Event 3, Aug. 14) – $125,000 guaranteed
- $320 Double Stack (Event 9, Aug. 20) – $100,000 guaranteed
- $500 PLO BIG Six-Max (Event 11, Aug. 22) – $40,000 guaranteed
- $2,000 Super High Roller Six-Max (Event 12, Aug. 23) – $100,000 guaranteed

Tournament of Champions $1 million freeroll is back
Why are rings so valuable?
WSOP.com announced that a player that wins a ring or bracelet before the end of this current season will get a free entry into the TOC. The $1 million freeroll event date has not been announced. Last year’s winner free rolled and took home $250,000 and a bracelet for winning the event.

Originally from Bayonne, NJ, professional poker player Matt Stout grabbed his 7th ring last month. He shipped event 6 to the tune of $27,343.
WSOP.com offering $100,000 Sundays in August
During the online series, players can still look for daily promotions and other tournaments This includes the popular nightly $100,000 guaranteed Sunday tournament. Here’s a quick look at that event:
