Serendipity3

Walking through Ocean Casino Resort, it’s hard to miss the construction.

And this triggers questions like:

  • Will The Gallery Bar Book & Games be open by NFL season?
  • How many more days until the highly anticipated Serendipity3 opens?
  • What’s the story with all the new hotel rooms opening at Ocean Casino Resort?

Well, Play NJ is happy to report we have all the answers.

Ocean Casino Resort shared a press release earlier today with updates on over $85 million in property development. And they will be debuting throughout the summer.

“Ocean is committed to providing the best guest experience in Atlantic City,” said Bill Callahan, general manager for Ocean Casino Resort. “Between our new hotel product, the addition of The Gallery Bar, Book & Games, and various new food and beverage outlets, there will be more reasons than ever to come to Ocean this summer.”

And this doesn’t include the brand new, user-friendly website. Of course, it includes more details of all the projects we highlight below.

Serendipity3 opening next week

Based on how hot New Jersey temps were over this past weekend, the idea of sipping a world famous Frrrozen Hot Chocolate probably sounds really, really tempting.

By next week, Ocean Casino Resort guests will be able to order one as Serendipity3. The New York City landmark is opening Wednesday, June 1.

The restaurant is located across from Villain & Saint and The District.

The press release uses the words “one-of-a-kind dining experience transporting Ocean’s guests into a fantasy world filled with great food and dream-sized desserts.”

The 8,000-square-foot restaurant will have an adjacent ice cream parlor.

Hours will be:

  • Mon.-Thu.: 4 p.m.-11 p.m
  • Fri.: 4 p.m.-12 a.m.
  • Sat.: 11 a.m.-12 a.m.
  • Sun.: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

NJ sports betting upgrade: The Gallery Bar Book & Games opens July 1

So when it comes to the NJ sports betting experience, there is currently a void at Ocean Casino Resort.

Call it a temporary setback.

We received confirmation that the $5.2 million Gallery Bar Book & Games will officially open to the public Friday, July 1.

Yes, we are talking Fourth of July weekend.

Like the former William Hill-branded retail sportsbook, The Gallery is located in the center of the casino floor. Guests will enjoy:

  • 100-foot elevated bar and lounge
  • Video poker
  • Blackjack and roulette tables
  • 140 feet of LED walls
  • 17-foot open-air staircase that will connect to the Balcony Bar

The latter is a mezzanine bar and lounge where guests will enjoy the ultimate VIP sportsbook experience.

As a little teaser to what’s coming, Ocean said The Gallery will “set the stage for social betting, big game nights, and unforgettable after-hours experiences.”

Judging by these details, the space will attract all a wider audience from table  game players to fans simply looking to casually enjoy a Philadelphia Phillies or New York Yankees game.

Ocean Casino Resort adding $72 million in new hotel rooms and suites

Anybody who has been following the Ocean Casino Resort news is well aware that there are 12 floors of hotel rooms that were never finished.

And this dates back to the days of Revel (one of four Atlantic City casinos to close in 2014).

Ocean is just about ready to unveil $72 million in new hotel rooms and suites.

By July 1, most of the new rooms and suites will be available. And more will be finalized throughout the summer.

The new 463-square-foot Contemporary Blu rooms will be added to the hotel tower inventory. They will feature beach-inspired flooring and wall coverings, creating a calming atmosphere.

Guests will also enjoy “breathtaking views.”

The luxurious bathrooms will feature marble flooring, a double vanity, and an oversized shower.

The newly built suites will also feature a beach-scape aesthetic.

Amenities will include:

  • Dining area
  • Wet bar
  • Generous lounge seating for guests to host small gatherings
  • Soaking tub in bathroom

Wait, Ocean Casino Resort still has more

On a side note, Ocean guests will no longer need to visit an unnamed nearby AC casino to grab a cup of Starbucks coffee.

What could be bad about sipping a frappuccino or refresher while taking in picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean?

We don’t have an opening date yet. What we do know is that Starbucks will be situated next to Topgolf Swing Suites.

In other food and beverage news, Ocean has completed the expansion of  Zhen Bang, its Asian restaurant, with 60 additional seats.

Then there is Bottled-Wine Spirits & Tastings, which is targeted for an early fall opening. It’s being described as an elevated wine experience, featuring an Enomatic dispenser with unique vintages for sample and sale.

It will be located steps away from Ovation Hall. Bottled will also offer a wide selection of imported and domestic cheeses, cured meats and handpicked accouterments.

As an added bonus,  guests can take advantage of bike rentals located directly outside in Ocean’s porte-cochere.
