Serendipity3 is coming to the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.

The iconic New York City restaurant  will open in the spring, Ocean Casino Resort announced Monday.

Plans call for an 8,000-square-foot restaurant and adjacent ice cream parlor featuring “a whimsical interior with a modern twist and a nod to Serendipity3’s iconic history,” the casino said in a news release.

Serendipity3 will be in the space formally occupied by Cafe500, according to a casino spokesperson.

“We are excited to welcome this one-of-a-kind eatery to the Ocean restaurant portfolio,” said Warren Richards, senior vice president of food and beverage for Ocean Casino Resort. “Located just steps from the energy of Ovation Hall, the addition of Serendipity3 will present our guests with the chance to create memories with each bite in a playful environment that is unique to Atlantic City.”

Serendipity3 is a true NYC landmark

Serendipity3 has been a staple in Manhattan’s East Side for over six decades. The original shop opened in 1954.

Serendipity3 is a favorite among celebrities and tourists. The restaurant is featured in movies, television and books.

Some may have heard about the “world famous Frrrozen Hot Chocolate.”

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is a partner and investor of the dessert-centric restaurant.

“I am thrilled that we will be expanding and opening a Serendipity3 location in the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City,” Gomez said in a news release. “Many new guests will be able to visit and discover what we all love so much about the original New York location.”

By the way, the menu includes the Gomez-inspired Selena Sundae. It consists of cookies & cream ice cream, banana, hot fudge cream-filled cookie crumbles, decadent pink sugar, whipped cream and a cherry on top.

Serendipity3 at Ocean will offer brunch, dinner and late-night menus.

Ocean keeps reinvesting, improving

The addition of Serendipity3 is the latest in a series of reinvestments and new options for guests at Ocean.

The casino recently opened Makai, a Hawaiian-themed restaurant. Nola’s Bar & Lounge also debuted this fall.

Following the addition of a new ownership partner this year, Ocean is putting more than $75 million into the property.

Ocean will complete more than 460 rooms and suites as part of the capital spending.
