Live In New Jersey: RSI Introduces New Blackjack Tables With SugarHouse Branding
If you’re a PlaySugarHouse customer and live dealer games are your preference, change is here. And this change is exclusive to SugarHouse online casino and BetRivers (operating out of Pennsylvania) customers.
Parent company Rush Street Interactive sent out a press release announcing exclusive live blackjack tables.
Basically, there is now PlaySugarHouse and BetRivers branded live-casino studios for players in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

So how does this improve the live dealer offerings currently available to PlaySugarHouse customers, you ask?
The launch of dual studios, in two of RSI’s largest markets, each currently provides three blackjack tables available exclusively for BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse players. This makes it easier and faster to take a virtual seat at the popular online live dealer tables.
SugarHouse, like other NJ online casino operators, has used an NJ-based Evolution studio. According to RSI, the new live branded PlaySugarHouse studio is separate. With the PSH-branded tables, only gamblers using that app or platform can play.
When players click on the blackjack live dealer games, there are still several different tables to choose from. However, players will notice there are now options that include the words “SugarHouse blackjack” versus the generic blackjack tables. The background and color of the table felt are different as well.
So why change now?
“Since we initially launched our live dealer games with Evolution in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, we’ve had requests from customers to offer exclusive tables with seats only available to players loyal to our brands,” said Richard Schwartz, CEO of RSI. “Now our players will have their own dedicated seats where they are able to chat and interact with not only our dealers but also other players in our online community, who can interact in real time, adding a fun social aspect to the betting experience as if they were at a land-based casino.”
NJ online casino business is booming
Rolling out new slot and table game offerings is a way to lure and maintain customers. Remember, the NJ online casino market launched in 2013 and now includes more than two dozen operators and is still expanding. In the last month alone, Betway and Barstool Casino NJ both went live with their respective offerings.
SugarHouse online casino launched in 2016 under the Golden Nugget Atlantic City license.
Today, NJ online casino revenue is exceeding $100 million on a monthly basis. So far in 2021, six out of the first seven months have reported over $100 million in revenue. Two of those months, March ($113.7) and July ($118.7 million) set new all-time records.
Year to date, NJ online casinos have reported $753 million in revenue, and that number is up 47.6% from 2020 when Atlantic City casinos were closed for three-plus months.
New Jersey is one of those jurisdictions in which revenue reports are broken down by license holder versus operator like nearby Pennsylvania. Golden Nugget’s portion (listed under Golden Nugget Online Gaming) is $215.5 million. When these numbers were released, SugarHouse was one of five brands operating under the license. Going forward, Betway’s results will be included in this total.
