Borgata online rewards program

All verified accounts will automatically enter you into MGM's M life Rewards. Playing Borgata casino bingo will then earn you points that you can redeem for bonus funds and perks at land-based MGM properties.

On Borgata Bingo, you'll accrue points and tier credits at a rate of 0.0003 points per $0.01 that you wager. In other words, the base formula equals the dollar amount of your wager (in cents) x 0.0003.

How to play bingo

Borgata's 75-ball bingo is the same game that you'll find in your local bingo hall or casino. The biggest difference between the two is that you can play online bingo for money around the clock at Borgata.

Drawings take place at set times, and the game plays exactly the same. For 90-ball bingo, there are a few variations and different ways to win, but the basic concept is the same.

To play both games, first purchase one or more tickets, or bingo cards, that will include a series of numbers between one and 75 (or one and 90). The game will select numbered balls randomly and cross those numbers off everyone's cards until someone has a winning pattern.

To get started, you'll first need to choose a game. All available games will appear in the bingo lobby, along with the ticket price, start time and number of waiting players. Just click on a graphic to enter that game.

Next, purchase one or more tickets. You can either wait until you're ready to play, or pre-purchase tickets to save your place in the game. Some games will place a limit on the number of players who can take part. You can buy as many tickets, or bingo cards, as you like. You can set games to auto-mark numbers across all your tickets. If you win, the game will stop automatically and tell you how much you've won.

Since the site was brand new at the time of this review, a number of games had only one or two participants. As a result, the winning prizes were small. For instance, one 75-ball game with a $0.35 entry ticket paid off $5, while a 90-ball game with a $0.25 entry ticket paid off $4.

In many cases, as the numbers of players increase, so will the size of the prizes. Other games will have a fixed prize regardless of the number of players. Of course, the fewer players in a game, the higher your odds of winning. When the site gets more established, Borgata plans to add a number of novelty games, such as community bingo with chat hosts, as well as progressive jackpot bingo games.

75-ball bingo

This version uses 75 balls and a five-by-five gridded card, with the center square marked “Free." The game will randomly draw numbers between one and 75 one at a time.

If a number appears on your ticket, the game will mark it off. The first player to complete a line of five squares in any direction wins the game.

90-ball bingo

Another version of bingo uses 90 balls and a strip consisting of six tickets. Each ticket contains three rows of nine spaces each, with five numbers and four blank squares on each row.

Three types of patterns can earn a win, and each pattern will have a separate prize. One-line wins occur if you cover all the numbers in a single row. Two-line wins occur if you cover all the numbers on two rows. Finally, a full house is if you cover all 15 numbers on one ticket.

It's possible for one player to win all three prizes in the same game. Usually, the prize payout will depend on the ticket price and the number of players for that game. Otherwise, the prize will be a fixed amount.

Other types of bingo

Borgata expects to offer a couple of variations on the standard bingo format — such as chat room bingo and progressive jackpot bingo — when the site is more firmly established.

Chat hosts will lead special bingo rooms that will allow conversations between the host and players. To join in, just enter the room and purchase one or more bingo cards. The chat window will appear to the right of the screen. Once the game starts, the chat host will explain the type of game and any special rules that may apply.

Borgata also expects to host progressive jackpot bingo (both 90-ball and 75-ball) down the road. These games will not have a guaranteed prize, but will offer a chance to win larger prizes.

To win a 75-ball progressive jackpot, you'll need to bingo on a specific pattern within 44 calls. To win a 90-ball progressive jackpot, you need to get a full-house bingo within 36 calls. A portion of the cost of each progressive jackpot ticket will go into the prize pool. If no one gets a bingo, the prize pool will roll over to the next progressive game.

What about other games?

In addition to bingo, Borgata Bingo offers a collection of Slingo games. Slingo is a mashup of 75-ball bingo and a traditional slot machine. The game features a standard five-by-five bingo grid with a row of slot reels at the bottom.

Each spin has the potential to turn up numbers that match your bingo card, as well as extra symbols that can award instant prizes or trigger special bonus rounds. Just like bingo, the aim of Slingo is to complete a row of five numbers horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

To play Slingo, just place a wager and you'll get nine spins. For a little extra excitement, you can purchase extra spins at the end. The cost of each extra spin will vary depending on the current grid and potential prizes, with the cost highlighted on the “spin" button.
